Marion von Osten Zürich/Berlin
Lives in Berlin and Zurich. She is an artist, author and curator. After studying Art History, Philosophy and Literature at the University of Bochum, she studied art at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Karlsruhe. Since the early nineties she has been active internationally with exhibition projects related to criticism of technlogy, feminism and economy. She has also published regularly in the artistic and scientific fields. From 1996-1998 she was curator at the Shedhalle Zurich where she organised various projects including "Sex and Space" and "SUPERmarkt or MoneyNations". She has a professorship for artistic practice at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Zurich and since 2001 has been a staff member of ITH, Institute für Theorie der Gestaltung und Kunst, Zurich. She is active as an organiser of events, exhibitions and symposiums and researcher of cultural, economic and gender relations.
With Kathrin Romberg, Director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein, she co-directed , a project initiative of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes Deutschland.
