Brian Holmes Paris

Brian Holmes is an art critic, social theorist and activist, living in Paris. He has a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from the University of California at Berkely, is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Multitudes (Paris), contributes regularly to the magazines "Springerin" and "Parachute", and is the author of a book entitled "Hieroglyphs of the Future: Art and Politics in a Networked Era", 2002. He has collaborated with political art groups like "Ne Pas Plier" and "Bureau d'Etudes", and has been a regular contributor to the international mailing-list "Nettime". He's currently preparing a book of essays entitled "Unleashing the Collective Phantoms".
